Back in my pool days we would've called it "dead", meaning the balls are frozen together and lined up so that all she had to do was hit the first ball with some force and every ball would automatically go in. It looks good but literally anybody could do it

The original set up, as explained to the audience in rehearsal, was for Mary Tyler Moore to shoot, cut the camera, and then have an actual pool shark come on and pull off the shot. Instead, Mary Tyler Moore actually pulled it off on the first take. The actors did an incredible job staying in character because that wasn't supposed to happen.
