It’s widely considered the safest vehicle there is, so it makes sense for traumatized doctors and helicopter parents.

agreed

i also find it weird that people just "make an observation" as they call it.....then run to this board to get everyone else's opinion on it. Its weird grown arse men have to run to a message board to feel validated on their feelings

While our vehicles do not match at all, I drive a black 2021 crew cab Ram 1500 Bighorn while my wife drives a white 2022 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy, we do have matching Michelin Defender tires.

What I really find odd is the people who lease and turn in their old lease every year or two for the same car in the same color.

I have both a neighbor and a boss who own/drive the same (multiple) vehicles for themselves and their wives.

I don't have a true judgement... just find it a bit odd.

Honda CRV's have an excellent rating, approximately equal to a BMW X5.

I'll take the X5 every time, as German cars have a long history of being very crash worthy.

My grandfather and my grandmother drove matching 1966 Shelby GT350H mustangs… but they were cooler than your average grandparents.

Damn that's a tough one but I do see the latter more so more cringe ASF no doubt.

Matching clothes, matching vehicles, and same side of booth is a trifecta of mega cringe for sure.

Other than the 2 for 1 deal there really is no logical reason for the exact same yr/model/trim/color vehicles.

There is a house in my neighborhood with 2 white CRV’s. I’d be getting into the wrong car all the time

Ha! My boyfriend and I always sit on the same side of the table so we can have more physical contact when we're eating. Otherwise we're just bumping knees under the table.

And I bought him the same make/ model car as me (but mine's housed in a different state) for his birthday this year. 6 speed manual Mini Cooper Clubman. Mine rips so I figured he'd love it. He needed a zippy little commuter for Houston traffic.

It just seems weird from a logistics standpoint.

Let’s say my wife (no pics) go eat somewhere at a rectangle table that is either a booth or has four chairs, with two on each side.

We’ll sit on opposite sides but staggered so we each have more table room. It avoids bumping elbows sitting next to each other, and bumping knees under the table like someone else mentioned.

ETA I don’t find it weird as in it bothers me, I just think it’s not the most efficient and comfortable way to sit at a table or a booth.

Honestly probably going to do this once my wife's is paid off. Sell mine, take hers and get her the newest version of same vehicle.
