Married for 65 years, man ends wife's suffering with gunshot to head.

I don't know wht to think of this. I doubt he did it out of anger or wanting to murder her. He gave her assisted suicide, which is legal in some states, but still to shoot someone you were married to for 65 years.... Just kind of insane.

What are they going to do to him? Send him to jail for the rest of his life? I hope they don't bring this man to trial. It isn't worth it.

Cases like that are what jury nullification is supposed to be used for. He did the right thing here. I hope he goes free.

I agree. He probably won't last six months. Generally when people are together that long they both pass around the same time.

No man wants to kill his wife after 65 years of being married to her. He loved her to much to watch her suffer any longer. Leave him alone. He is suffering enough already.

I mean, I know murder is murder, but if she was documented as being in severe pain, wanting to die, etc., she's 93 years old. I just don't know. That's not exactly the least painful way to go out, as I imagine that brief flash is painful.

I agree, I don't think he "murdered her" I think he "put her to sleep" , just I would have chosen a different method. Usually Hospice gives you morpheme.

Assisted suicide is only legal in five states.
