I've noticed many young couples today are hiring someone to photograph and/or video their marriage proposal. Some are even inviting family members and friends to witness it and holding a party afterwards.

I bought time and did a live recording on the local public broadcasting channel.

No, we didn’t. It doesn’t bother me if people do, though.

Who cares?

Is anyone really surprised that kids who live on social media and share their daily meals and outfits for no reason are recording/sharing a big moment like this? It's the same group that started going over the top for homecoming/prom proposals.

If you know for a fact you're getting engaged, then you are technically already engaged. Might as well forgo the formalities.

Nah that shite started with kids that are college aged now. The prom shite is cringworthy as hell, but I have no problem with the proposal stuff, most people my age do it.

Nope.

With that said, I have no issue with people asking someone to hide and take pictures, etc. But the big productions, flash mobs, etc? frick that noise.

I proposed in Central Park. Some dude was walking by and got him to just take a picture of me and my GF. Said hey, do you mind taking one more and that's when I did it. Came out cool and she got a picture out of it. A photographer was trying to get me to pay like $400 for that shite and it wasn't happening.

No. It was not documented.

We just kind of, real sneaky like, remember.

It was between her and me.
