If you haven't figured out what to do with it by now my suggestion is to go learn a trade.
Or take up heroin. I hear that's what a lot of failed marketers are doing these days.

Could probably do some web design stuff or sales. If you specialized in something such as marketing analytics you'd have a lot better shot at getting a good job.
Also, I assume failed marketing majors are the ones spinning signs outside mattress stores so you could always look into that.

Internet marketing/SEO. I worked in this area after college and if you know what you are doing, the money is definitely there.

I have a cousin who graduated in marketing, he works in sales doing something with power plants. He mainly plays golf.

I've never thought that marketing jobs were scarce or hard to come by.
Same thing for sales jobs. Everybody wants someone who can sell.
Why don't you get your feet wet selling, and then go to sales director/marketing director after that?
If you're afraid to get your hands dirty or build relationships with people... then this is the wrong field for you.
Take whatever opportunity comes your way, and bust your arse at it... you will move up. There's plenty of opportunity in marketing and sales.
