2 years ago i needed a car as mine had been totaled. The guy who hit me’s insurance paid and i went looking. I had really wanted a Honda but they were adding this BS to the sticker price. I ended up going with a Hyundai because they were selling for MSRP. ETA at that weird bizarro time a used low mileage one was costing even more.

I would like to take my chances direct to the manufacturer. F U Louisiana car dealer lobby.

We bought my wife a new Honda last November and we paid a little below MSRP and got a 4.9% rate. Luckily for most regular vehicles it's not like that anymore.

Most but not all lots are
Still empty to keep that illusion of 2021 and the market price up. Price Leblanc is the worst. Had to go to Shreveport to get my Tundra and wife’s Highlander. Drove up stayed the night at casino, gambled drank and ate like a king woke up did paperwork and was home before kids got out of school. All that and still came out ahead about $15000.

Now imagine paying a set price from the manufacturer and their is no competition to sell inventory between dealers. The manufacturer is gonna rape you and you can’t do shite about it.

I saved $17500 on buying from Price Leblanc’s yeah I probably still got hosed but it was worth it to look else where. They are scam artists. Lots at Toyota dealership in SHERVPORT was full and we both got exactly what we wanted when Price Leblanc told us we’d be on back order for 6 months.

Expand your dealer search. I picked up my GX550 at MSRP a few months ago, even though there were dealers adding $10k market adjustments in some regions.

Two dealerships this weekend
One has 1800 markup for "safety and security" which was undercoating, clear wrap to protect door handles from scratches and an Adams car cleaning care kit
The other had 2k up for their ceramic coat
Both dealerships said they do it on every vehicle and it was non negotiable

They do this with very popular cars in short supply like your Raptor R. Best advice is to call 20 dealers and see what they will offer you. If you are willing to deviate from your spec a bit it might help.
But it's a lot harder to drive a bargain on something so new and in-demand.
And yes, that market adjustment is pure profit. They know everybody wants one.

"Consumer demand and availability" drives the "market adjustment" added to the vehicles price.
Our Store will not lower the "market adjustment" price on any vehicle unless you're a local resident. Out of towners are SOL.

I ordered from ford and took delivery from a dealer that lived in my hood. The bots at the dealer added that shite by default, the GM cut me a refund check in 24 hours and hand delivered it to me at home.

Don’t forget to opt for the laser etched glass.

Lakeside Toyota tried playing the shortage game even after there was no shortage. They were hiding new cars on a offsite lot and trying to charge a market adjustment. You could go to Ray Brandt Toyota and they had dozens and dozens of new cars on their lot.

I wouldn’t pay over on a Raptor R at this point there are deals to be had. I was able to put a deposit on an ordered a 22 Raptor at peak of market (nov21) from Woody Anderson in Huntsville and when it came in late summer 22 they honored the original sticker which was 3 grand lower than the price it had in sticker from ford when it arrived. With ford I would not give a deposit unless they have an allocation/scheduled build, a lot of dealers will take orders for trucks they don’t have allocation for and you’ll never get it.

makes for a more competitive market place. if we swap to buying directly from the manufacturer, there will be no negotiation and the only competition will be between manufacturers. which we already have that with incentives and rebates.
So your argument is that adding a 3rd party middleman decreases the price of the vehicle? If you’re in the market, I’ve got some ocean front property in Arizona for sale.

Question here.... so right now if a truck is listed for 55k and they're offering 15k in rebates so it's 40k... will the vehicle remain at 55k or drop to 40k without the middleman?

Just went to a Chevy dealership in Gonzales and a Honda dealership in Lafayette that had every vehicle marked with it. Both with some $2k + protection plan bs.
I’m not doing business with either one.
