I work on Canal St. Near my office is a law firm, one of the lawyers over there is a retired judge, he's got to be about 80 years old at least. One of these types that is a real piece of work.

Saw him out this morning roping off half a block of neutral ground, on both sides of the streetcar tracks. I walked him to him and said hey judge, you saving all of that space for me and my friends too? He replied, "I can do what I want, this is MY neutral ground".

He wasn't joking. He really felt that way.

Hope everyone has a great Mardi Gras!

Nah, you should have yelled back, "It is called a Median, not neutral ground!"

Then, you could have listened to him talk for 3 days on how special and different New Orleans is

Can't say I've ever seen a "Median Side" shirt.

Let me tell you about how special the NOLA vernacular is...

Funny thing is, his old arse won't even be awake by the time the parade passes there

I hate people that save space with ropes and no actual people to holding the spot. The worst part about it though is when the parade gets close you see these huge roped off areas with 15 people using a fraction of the space.

It's weird that an old man is still worried about staking out a spot for a parade.

Does getting old mean you shouldn't still be having fun?

Leave Sens alone. He's served the public diligently.

Streetcars shut down at 5 pm today on Canal/Carrollton. I wonder if they will pull stuff up today until then.

Don't mess with 80 year old judges. They've paid their dues. True OG's.
