To act like it’s widespread is absurd and basically demonizing a lot of hard working people who lost their jobs.
I know more than a few who lost their jobs, but were fortunate enough to have robust savings to fill the gap to unemployment. They aren’t buying shite but food and paying bills.

Social media has been awful for people who already have poor impulse control.
When I was a teenager, my dad told me a line that I've never forgotten. When you receive your paycheck, you pay your bills, pay yourself, and then have fun with whatever is leftover.

Yeah it’s pretty silly
Sales for all of those things are high because MOST people haven’t lost their jobs but the great majority are spending way less money and are spending way more time at home

Not it isn't. There were posts all over social media the week stimulus checks hit of WalMarts across the nation being out of stock on TVs.
I am sure it's somewhere in the middle but if I am overstating it you are greatly discounting it.

It's not can't. It's didn't. The mayor of Jackson, MS declared that water shut offs would stop because of delinquent water bills. Do you want to know what happened.
People just stopped paying their water bill. When the government said you cant be evicted for not paying your rent, there is a sizable amount of people who hear that and say "I have extra money every month."
There are going to be some people who scrape together the money or use their next stimulus to catch up. There are going to be some people that just get evicted.

We don't handle rentals. My clients are banks and mortgage lenders so tell that little old lady to pay her mortgage and she will be fine.

so they'll all get booted then go across the street and rent a house from a different landlord that just evicted somebody else. the landlords will report lower rental income and save on taxes.

You do realize that with what I do evictions are maybe .5% of it? Most people are already gone when we get there as they hadn't paid their mortgage in months and the banks have already sent them tons of nasty letters and had what's called a mortgage inspector make contact with them a few times telling them they are in default. During that time the bank is trying NOT to foreclose on them. Very rarely do we come across a place where the person is still in it.
The other 99.5% of it is repairing the house and maintaining it while the legal process happens so that it can convey to HUD and not become a complete PoS during that time. Some foreclosures can take several months and I have seen some literally take years due to legal issues.
If companies like mine didn't exist then many neighborhoods would have their values lowered due to deteriorating vacant houses as their neighbors.
I know that blows your little fantasy that I am a piece of shite just putting people on the street so sorry to ruin it for you.

Did you verify the employment status of each customer who bought one?
Or are you just assuming it because it fits your narrative?
The cutoff was $75k a person? I can think of a few demographics who would make around that much and blow a “free” $1200 on a nice toy.
If people chose to not pay rent and buy fancy shite, the government protected them for long enough and they will feel the consequences of that decision when they are evicted. I just don’t think those type of people are as widespread as you’re making it out to be.

Maybe I am skeptical because of what I see every day. People losing their house but they have two brand new vehicles, toy haulers with a side by side in it, nice center console, etc but forgot to pay the mortgage.
I do think it's more widespread than you are statting.
