I would have never guessed that Sands was a more profitable organization than MGM Mirage or Caesars (Harrah's).

Yeah, it's from 2015. Pretty sure Dish Network is #1 in Colorado, for example.

If centurylink (which might happen now that a good bit of the leadership lives out of state) ever leaves, that will leave Louisiana with 1 fortune 500 company. DFW has 22. What a sad state of affairs.
Also, anyone who didn't know that centurylink was biggest in the state must have their head buried in the sand.

All the money is in Asian casinos, specifically Macau.
Lvs has a significantly larger market cap than mgm, Wynn or harrahs.

They acquired Level3 Communications and are now the preemminent provider of internet backbone services while also being the Verizon of the mountain west region.
The latter happened when they purchased Quest in 2010. They also purchased a few other telcos like Embarq which used to be Sprint's local exchange carrier business.
They also have close to 30 datacenters across the country for colocation and cloud services. Putting them on the same playing field as Rackspace but not quite on the level as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
