Insane group. My wife reads me stuff from there sometimes and it's like tigerdroppings for unhinged women

Dude you ain't lying

That's nightly entertainment for us. Laying on the couch and my wife randomly spouts out the bizarre shite she reads on that page

I've heard this week they are expecting trouble again by Raising Canes. You are awfully close to that.

It's too hard finding people to spend the money to ride in and put on a good parade not named Endymion or not going down St. Charles Avenue.

It's why most Westbank Krewes have moved Uptown and why Metairie Mardi Gras has struggled in recent years.

Membership in the Uptown parades has exploded in recent years. There are some parades this weekend with more riders than the heavy hitters next weekend.

Well said, it's not like days past where you had to get on a ferry to watch the NOLA parades. Also the population densities have changed on the West Bank and it's harder to get a good crowd. I remember watching Chocktaw and Alla at my great-aunt's house on Elmira Street in old Algiers. When I drive on that street today I always wonder how in the world did they ever get floats down that street.

Wife and I attending. How early we need to be there to secure a reasonable parking spot near the start?

Hard to say with the new no parking on route rules.

In the past, it has been fairly easy to park in either shopping center parking lot without getting there too early, but would think the earlier, the better, this year.

The shopping center with fresh market has plenty of parking as of 3:30. But the openings along the route in that area are getting tight. Lots of chairs and ladders out there already

We're missing for the first time in a number of years due to various family circumstances, and I am a bit bummed. We do plan to go back next year if we can.

That damn parade made it twice as long for me to get in and out of whole foods

Eta: I also saw women stumbling towards the staging grounds at like 3 lol

More crowded at one hour out than I remember. A lot of our group (women) stayed home because of the cold. We are across the street from McDonald’s on the Fresh Market side. All tame for now

Seems more sparse to normal at the 22-W approach area.

God, I forget how little these old ladies throw. Least prepared krewe I've ever seen. It's like they didn't plan for anything tonight. My kids left this parade so disappointed. Excited for Olympia tomorrow.
