Catholics incubated and spread Christianity for nearly 2 centuries and they also didnt fall for the dispensationalism scam like American evangelicals did.
Dispensationalism is terrible, but at least it doesn't deny the gospel of justification by faith in Christ alone.

Yah I was surprised to hear Fuentes say he believes that Protestants go to hell on Thursday's programme. Thats crazy.

I dont think too many Catholics actually believe that.

Wow
I'm serious. They deny justification by faith in Christ alone and require meritorious works to add to and improve justification.

Catholicism has been watered down since Vatican II, but they can't ignore Trent and Vatican I, which anathematized Protestantism.

Catholicism teaches that it's possible for Protestants to go to Heaven in their ignorance, just like a Muslim or Buddhist, but if they are presented with the "truth" of Catholicism and reject it, and die in that rejection, there is no salvation for us.

Not gonna lie if I was there I’d have tried to get to that guy and beat his arse and I’m not even catholic. Such disrespect for Christianity and an absolute beautiful work of architecture

It wouldn’t end well for the perp, just like it shouldn’t have in this instance. The one thing I do respect about Muslims even though I dislike them and think Islam is a scourge on humanity, is the fact they are devout and willing to fight and die for their beliefs and culture. It’s why they’re winning and taking over western nations.

Christains as a whole have become weak and milquetoast. Few are devout and even less are willing to defend our religion and its values. It’s getting time to go Old Testament on some people and start defending our religion and values or all that we cherish will be destroyed

Foo, I’m also not Catholic but you won’t ever hear me attempting to explain this away. It’s wrong and should not be tolerated at all. That goes for any faith by the way. I’m not taking a leak on a Hindu shrine just because I think it’s a false religion. You have to be respectful of the adherents. They take their religion as seriously as we do ours. The bottom line for me is that Christians need to back each other up and not further any division.

They teach that the Roman Catholic church is the only true Church, and to be outside of her is to be outside of Christ (salvation). She has dogmas that people are required to believe, which Protestants don't believe, like Papal infallibility and the teachings about Mary.

Again, Rome has spoken and Protestants must repent and join the true Church (as they see it) or to be outside of salvation.

I don't condone such behavior, but I understand it.

it is NOT OK to to desecrate a building where the Name of Jesus is venerated and He is worshiped and proclaimed as God. No disciple of Jesus would be OK with this happening in any church's denomination, even one where scholarly disagreements can happen.

I've respected your Christian convictions, but you might want to put down the Jack Chick pamplet long enough to educate yourself:

I'll say it again: I don't condone the behavior. I just have a hard time getting upset about monuments to idolatry being desecrated.

What if the guy set the altar on fire? Would that upset you?

What if some Muslims started burning Catholic churches? Would that upset you?

You won't persuade Foo from hating on the Catholic Church here on Political Talk. He's been doing this all day every day for decades.

It's his Mission in Life.

Foo, YOUR particular sect of Presbyterianism has about ten thousand congregants in the ENTIRE United States. 10,000 people belong to your church in the USA. Maybe that's a message that the Holy Spirit doesn't think much about your religion?

There are assembly of god churches that do nothing but hate on catholics from the pulpit. Foo is probably one of them.

Discussion with Foo is a fools errand waste of time.

Foo has absolute disdain and disrespect for the Pope and the Catholic Church, and he makes that very clear all day and every day here on Political Talk.
