This is just absurd.

Be mad at the people wielding lawfare poorly because they got their feelings hurt. Don’t be mad at the guy who was falsely accused and was rightfully paid for his unjust incarceration.

This isn’t North Korea, you old piece of shite. I’m glad your social security money went to his settlement, I hope he buys a fancy new car with it.

Well, that shows how little you know about what went on. Under your formula, the government owes him another $1,165,000.

There is a whole discussion about punitive damages to be had here as well.

Do you not like the USA? People are going to say shite that you don't agree with, but it should never end up in a jail sentence because.. You will say some shite people don't agree with.

No nitwit.
I don't do "retarded".

There was a reason bond was set at that level. Why?

Regardless, if the POS couldn't make it, he could have done a GoFundMe, Community support, etc to help raise the money.

If not, $200K for 37 days is far more than enough to compensate him in response to charges for being a jackass.

They used a very loose interpretation of the law in order to put him in jail because their feelings got hurt over a damn meme.

NIH is being facetious.

NC on the other hand is a weather vane when it comes to being ideologically consistent, depending on who the aggrieved is.

Bail was $2 million. It would have cost him $2 million to post bail for himself. You said he elected to stay in jail.

Next, you are going to try the 2 15 14 4 approach.

It's happened many many times before. Was their ""loose"" interpretation illegal? Again, the settlement will be paid from public funds, meaning taxpayers bear the cost for 7-10yrs income for this POS.

NO!
If he had $2M, bail would have cost him whatever he could have earned in ROI while the state held the money. That's it. As long as he didn't skip town, the $2M would be returned to him, guilty or innocent. If he didn't have $2M, the bond would cost 10% ... or $200K nonrefundable.

Yes, to post bail for himself he would have had to have $2 million, either liquid or in real property the jurisdiction accepted.

I predicted you would go the bond route in my post.

Bond would have cost $200k to $300k for a surety company to post bail. You didn't say what the bond would cost; you said what the bail would cost him.

Then maybe they shouldn’t hold residents on soft charges because their feelings got hurt with an absurd bond amount.

I don’t blame this guy for taking advantage. I blame the tryhards who tried to get cute and it cost taxpayers. Maybe they should lose their jobs over it.

Perhaps he was born that way. Perhaps he was raised badly. Perhaps he is a mean drunk. Why do you think he is a POS?

I just did. What exactly do you think the $200K represented?

Your "$1,165,000" post was ridiculous. You do realize that?

You did not say that before my response, and I predicted in my post that bond would be your next shot. I wrote it out in a simple cypher. You are arguing from the back of a poor argument, which makes you predictable. I can tell you where you will go next if you continue, if you like.

You were unaware of the bail amount or mixed the use of bail and bond up, one of those is true.
