I never knew this, but apparently "Crayfish parties" are somewhat big in Sweden (they take place in the summers there). So I guess I could see it happening in Minnesota with their large Scandinavian population.
FWIW, the crayfish parties in Sweden are nothing more than people getting together to eat boiled crawfish while wearing goofy costumes and getting hammered drunk....so not all that much different from our crawfish boils
