...because he didn't get a speedy trial, even though it was his own lawyers' fault.

A Colorado man who was sentenced to more than 300 years in prison for sexually assaulting six children was released after an appeals court determined that his right to a speedy trial had been violated.

McFadden was convicted in 2015, but his trial was delayed after his attorneys sought to include provisions in the juror questionnaire and the judge granted a continuance. Colorado’s appellate court ruled that the delay couldn’t be attributed to McFadden, who won’t have to register as a sex offender because his convictions were vacated.

I think I'm going to fill out one of those applications to be a test dummy to go to Mars.

It’s been almost 3 years, so his previous victims have aged out of his target demographic.

And, if one of the kids pop this guy like the girl and her boyfriend did here, would they get to walk?

after the Colorado Supreme Court declined to hear the case.

The appellate court acknowledged that precedent allowed judges to override statutory violations to protect constitutional rights.
"Despite that, they chose to not to extend the precedent here, and blamed the legislature for the rigid rule," Rubinstein wrote.
How the F in the world could those judges not do everything in their power to exploit every loophole available to keep this human excrement in jail. He will re-offend and those fricktard judges will have blood on their hands.

"Sorry... we seem to have misplaced the prisoner."
"Sorry, child raper, we seem to have misplaced the paperwork releasing you. It'll be just a bit longer. You hang tight, ok?"

Meh, just means the fathers of the victims have easier access to him now. Maybe one of them will kidnap him and torture him for 30+ years. Garuntee you I'd at least kill this mofo if it were my daughter. All they did was make it a likely possibility that he dies sooner rather than later of natural causes.

Deposit 500 dollars into someone's commissary fund and I bet he wouldn't leave his cell.

If I was the parent of one of those kids, I'd shoot that mother fricker in the face. Then have my lawyers seek to include provisions in the juror questionnaire, and get the judge to grant a continuance.

That's EXACTLY what it is. His own lawyer caused the delay.

Actually, the judge's delay did. The prosecutor also has blame.
When the defense asks for a continuance, they waive the right to a speedy trial.
The 3rd continuance was objected to by the defense, but granted by the judge. The prosecutor should have objected as well to avoid this very problem.
