Would have expected this at Popeye's not Cane's. Pretty funny that the store manager just walks off when the guy pulls the gun and the person left at the counter can't open the register.

Justin Carter figured he’d knock over a virtually empty chicken joint in Louisville Saturday night. How hard could it be? It was late — about 10 p.m. — probably near closing and the store had only two customers.
What could possibly go wrong?
As the video above shows, Carter chose…poorly. Those two customers minding their own business and eating a late dinner were off-duty cops.
From the AP:
A masked man attempting to rob a Kentucky chicken joint at gun point wound up fleeing the restaurant empty-handed when two married police officers on a date night chased him from the scene, authorities said.
Elizabethtown Police Officer Nicole McKeown and her husband, Det. Chase McKeown, were off duty and eating Saturday night when the man tried to rob a Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers eatery in Louisville, The Courier-Journal reported.
An arrest citation said Justin T. Carter, 30, entered the restaurant wearing a mask and flashed a gun at an employee several times while demanding money from the register, the report said.
Authorities determined that Carter's gun was stolen from Jeffersontown police, the report said.

How did he steal a J’town PD gun?
I have eaten at this location. Could have been me.

When I worked at Canes, we would always have a cop there after 9 pm.

If I was one of the employees I'd have been more scared of the cops pointing their guns my way. We've all seen how they operate after Miami.

Should have shot him in the stomach and let him bleed out while they finished their meal.

Well you’re a coward who commits voter fraud, so no one is surprised.

Another fine young Democrat taking advantage of hard working people. Hopefully they lit him up like the 4th of July

I love how the cashier acts like she can't open the register when she is able to when taking orders all nights.

Clicked to see him shot. Left disappointed

Lol at the dude waiting for the robber to leave so he can go in and get his chickens.

wish it would have played just a little longer and see how the guy coming in at the end is reacting. Kinda milling outside the door looks like until 3 people with guns run out then just slips right in there behind them. Either dude DGAF and needs his chicken or he was ducking in there hiding assuming all the threat was gone.

Used to live in Plantation Trash err Trave during college by the one on Lee, I feel as though I had a strong part in helping canes get to where they are today by how much chicken we ate over there.
There was always a Baton Rouge policeman in there eating late night almost every time we were in there, this robbery would not have have taken place at that location.
