I've had a couple run ins with bouncers on bourbon. Most are just overgrown goons. The big blond curly haired mofo that works/used to work at cat's comes to mind. No time for a CSB, but let's say we had a lil shoving match on the sidewalk after he thought it was ok to put his hands on my wife. He's a frickin arse

ETA: my bad, did I say blonde? I meant frosted tips

Would have been pretty cool if the fella who was attacked by the single digit IQ having bouncer would have been an actual man. If this whole account is true the bouncer should have laid on the floor for a few seconds fighting for air, thinking to himself how bad he had fricked up by being a dicksqueeze, with a nice gaping slash in his neck from a simple, common pocket knife. Carry a pocket knife guys, at the very least.

I would think if you don't accept the beer, you don't have to pay. It's the bartender's fault for not getting the money up front.

I'm an All American drinker with an All-Pro liver for 40 years and not once have I paid for a drink upfront.

And I would have enjoyed my $6 beer inside then strolled outside for my next dozen $3 beers. Problem solved and I still have my teeth although at this age they are store bought.

Bourbon Street isn't the place to be these days.

I used to bounce in my early college days, walking away will usually get you banned for a night, nothing else.
I did too in the late 80's , I had a guy pull a knife on me when I told him to leave....quit that night

You bounced like a pussy. You let somebody walk away without going to the hospital then word gets out and everyone will start walking away.

Not in this town. You order, you pay.

Not sure why this was down voted. Every detail officer I've worked with the past 14 years has said there is a law about this. I'm not sure of the exact wording, but if you order it you're responsible for it.

I'm guessing the bouncer had no idea this was over a $3 dispute.

The bartender probably yelled out "stop that guy, he didnt pay"... for all the bouncer knew the guy was trying to skip a $150 tab

No. I have short and straight dark brown hair. Why? Are you looking for a boyfriend?

That's what I'm thinking, but then again unless they know you most places require a credit card to open a tab.

I used to work as a bartender and I do not think I ever got paid upfront for a drink.

Also most bouncers that I would work with for special events would be goons but they were helpful to have around.

The bouncers to watch out for are the small guys. We had one that would be called a MMA person now. He had black belts in a few things plus was an all state wrestler. He was maybe 6 180lbs

He looks like one as well. I bet he has the IQ of a toad stool. Too bad the customer didn't have a concealed carry permit and cap this goon.
