The 34-year-old Morrow man is accused of faking a positive COVID-19 medical excuse letter, which prompted his employer to stop business and sanitize the workplace. While the company’s facility was closed for cleaning, it continued to pay its employees. As a result, the company lost more than $100,000 and several of Davis’ coworkers were unnecessarily quarantined.

Human beings are not angels and will never let a crisis go to waste. Healthy skepticism is now shunned as bigotry or intolerance and I think it shouldn’t.

It’s not a minor respiratory disease for some of the population. It’s like poison ivy, it doesn’t affect some people at all, but it sets fire others

It's not like he just did this yesterday. It was probably at the height of the panic when nobody really knew how bad it was or wasn't

All of that just to get out of having to work. What a lazy piece of fricking shite. He should have to pay every penny of that money back to boss.

Half of my business if a factory, and we all know how rapidly this bastard virus spreads in a factory. Early April we had an employee test positive. For a multitude of reasons, we shut the plant down for a week and had all the workers in close contact with the employee tested. We didn't deep clean, but I personally spent a good bit of time in the factory sanitizing everything I could.

Fast forward a week, none of the people in close contact with the positive employee ever tested positive. We know this thing is pretty contagious, so I'd have expected one or two of them to get it, but nothing. It makes you wonder if the employee faked his paperwork or not. Maybe we just got lucky. Who knows? This one employee has never given me any worry over being lazy or a liar.

Latest news, if it’s to be believed, is that surface contagion is not as serious as once thought. Spread through air droplets and direct contact (<6’) with people are the main modes of transmission.

It ain’t minor - and that is the mindset that is going to cause numbers to spike and give politicians reason to impose more shelter in place measures rather than moving to phase2.
