The amount of people who continue to take the bait on the old Metairie troll is astounding to me.

Literally every thread that mentions Metairie

It's like no one really knows the boundaries of old Metairie.

Agreed - not great but not a bad area.

However, it is within walking distance from some apartments that have gone downhill over the years. And it's also a short walk from Vets and I-10. It will be interesting to see what the details are. I've seen a few homeless people near that area on Vets. I'm confident that JPSO will let us know the details.

There’s a fine line between a funny troll on the OT & misinformation.

Would you consider the 3700 block of Academy Drive a “good” area of Metry?

It's pretty close to Bellemont, which might be one of the hoodest parts in the N.O Metro. Place needs to be torn down.

Yeah, that whole Riverside Dr area needed to be leveled 30 years ago.

Agreed. But in general, the North side is nicer.

All of Metairie is old. No new neighborhood built in 30+ years.

My friend used to live over there and confirmed this was a half way house with daily drug deals.

That was off Vets, I wonder if the dude was running from someone and they found and shot him in someone's back yard that had nothing to do with the incident?

This is not near "Old Metairie". I am familiar with this area. It is near St. Phillip Neri Church. This is a nice neighborhood with a few blocks of old, run down apartments.

I’ll allow that. Although basically all the way from bonnabel to transcontinental, with the exception of fat city area, is a very nice area between vets and w esplanade
