A Pelaton is the best way to say I love you and care about her health.

You’ll definitely get laid Friday night.

Just gave the wife some giant diamond earrings for her birthday so I am off the hook to giving presents for a while.

I don’t believe in the made up, corporately driven, fake “holiday” known as Valentine’s Day.

That said, I’ll get the Mrs. some flowers and we’ll go out to eat on Sunday or something when it’s not a madhouse out in the general public.

I'm in the same pickle. My new bride is doing Keto so she doesn't want candy. She doesn't like Valentine type flowers, and she says I better not spend money on a "frickin' card" from Hallmark.

Same here. Gave her a diamond ring for X-mas and told her that's her X-mas gift, Valentines, wedding anniversary and birthday present. She was so excited she accepted the offer lol.

Grilling my wife a quality steak Friday night. Dinner reservations on Saturday. We agreed to buy a new sectional instead of gifts. I’ll still get her something relatively small gift wise and give her something big later that evening. :)

Pro tip. Go on cameo and get a minor celebrity she likes to send her a happy Valentine's day from you.

That's what I'm doing for my wife. $25 for a Valentine's greeting from Winston the white Corgi.

We've been together for almost 30 years. We rarely by each other stuff. We buy the kids shite. I also hate buying cards for any holiday because they never say anything remotely close to what i feel.

but

One valentine's day, I found myself THE card. It truly put into words perfectly how I felt about my wife and I just happened by it. I wasn't even looking, I just picked up the card like I was destined to find it.

Since I had found this perfect card, I went ahead and bought a bottle of wine and some new wine glasses. I put it all in a basket and gave it to her beaming with the "I did good!"

Wife agreed that the words in side the card were very sweet and romantic. Punchline: The front of the card read "To my Husband". It's the only card I've ever given her that she still has.

I ordered flowers and sent them to her office. I'm hoping that's cool with her because I didn't do anything else. If it isn't... Oh well.

We finally settled on something. A carriage ride around the town square (in 40° weather!), then wienerschnitzel dinner at a German restaurant on the square.

My wife thinks buying presents for holidays/anniversaries is stupid. She thinks all of it is a waste of money. She would rather spend a little more on our family trips to make them nicer. I'm cool with it.

Don’t get her anything, take her to do something. Spend time with her. Cook something. Buying flowers or chocolate or a bear from the tents beside the road shows that you don’t care. Prove to her that you do. Hell pizza and a movie from redbox coupled with saying something sweet like I want to spend the evening next to you means a helluva lot more than a roadside teddy bear.

I wouldn't be married anymore if it took a holiday to watch a movie and order a pizza. lol
