I think they should hold an event where women take advantage of their second amendment rights to open carry. It needs to be held somewhere that they also have the right to go topless in public, combining rights.

Yup, I think rubbing it in people's faces has the exact opposite effect desired. You end up just pissing them off, they notify the government, and then laws are made.
His sole purpose of being there was to piss people off and make a liveleak video. He accomplished that. I don't understand why not pissing people off wouldn't be better

I'm all for the right to open carry. I'm just not really all that into people doing it for no reason other than to open carry and get a rise out of people. What's the point. I should be able to transport my firearm from one place to the other without it being treated as though it's going to make me start shooting people. But to just carry it for the attention is douchey

Exactly. What it does is add fuel to the fire and give the anti-2nd people another can of gas. Helps pro-2nd people zero, and it actually is detrimental if anything

They have some guys that ride crotch rockets around Lafayette and open carry pistols on their hip. They hang out at the mall and look like they are trying way too hard. I also saw them at a snowball stand too. No one really pays much attention to them which is nice. (probably cause people in South Louisiana are used to seeing guns)
Although, I'm starting to question how I feel about open carrying. Anytime you see someone doing it, it's an attention whore and is obnoxious, even to people who support it. If you really feel the need to protect yourself with a gun just get your concealed carry permit so you don't look like a douche and make people uncomfortable.

My two cents...
1. Open carry all you want man, it's your right. Just like it's those people's right to speak out against it. The dude wasn't acting like an a-hole, just practicing a right that most uneducated people don't know why we have that right, and it shows in that video. The guy knew that people were gonna get upset about it I'm sure. Also, for the people that say this gives fuel to the anti-gun people, I'd say it's the opposite. The people getting pissed off about it were acting like idiots, spewing garbage outta their suckholes.
2. If you're gonna carry, don't sling arms that bitch, alert-to-the-dirt. Makes it much easier to get that gun up should some shite go down. And going off of that, if something was to go down, look for fatass brotha and liberal, hairy armpit bitch to get behind the guy with the gun protecting himself. Although, idk how he'll reload or practice proper magazine retention with all that shite strapped to his back.
