He keeps his cool because he is a responsible disciplined individual with more to lose by acting foolish and understands consequences and that belligerence will worsen & prolong the situation. He knows he's innocent and if he loses his cool could face career derailing charges. Side note: I'll never understand the folks that claim to be deathly afraid of police yet react by escalating situation and being confrontational.
I always say never lose your cool (or say anything—which is hard for people to do in a situation like his) in the interaction with the arresting officers. I can fix the underlying legal issue in court…I can’t fix you escalating the situation and getting a warranted charge for acting out. It happens where someone is COMPLETELY innocent getting arrested…it can be fixed. For heavens sake though, don’t give them the gas to bring to a fire.

the salesperson
The cops walked right past the salesman on their way into the dealership. Why the GM didn't just ask if anyone sold a truck this morning is the problem.

Wait, I thought cameras were the problem, not human error.
This wasn't a technology issue, but human error. Having this guy leave in the vehicle he purchased on camera would be evidence in his favor.
Not having cameras won't save you from people being idiots.

$75k for a 1/2 ton pickup truck? I don’t understand how a rational human being could think that is ever a good deal.
They’re actually more than that. Some are in the low 90s hilariously.
