MONROE, La. (KNOE) - Authorities have arrested a man accused of exposing himself and asking children about sex at a Monroe park.

According to arrest records, Monroe police say it happened on Feb. 29, 2020, at Magnolia Park on Olive Street.

Four girls told police they were approached by Darin Wayne Ward, 54, who asked them if they performed oral sex. The girls reported to police that Ward also exposed himself and said he did not care how old the girls were.

Police say Ward appeared intoxicated. They say his pants were unzipped and his belt was undone. Ward told police he talked to the girls but did not say anything bad to them.

Ward was arrested and booked into the Ouachita Correctional Center on four counts of indecent behavior with juveniles.
