almost unheard of in that business!!

I worked at Olive Garden about 20 years ago. It’s amazing how the movie “Waiting” nailed so much of the shite that goes on at those places. That was my introduction to working with people that were constantly high.

I pulled him out three separate times, as he fought to go back in. No noise from him...only three words. " I'm cool bro" face melting and arse in oil when I told him to get the frick out.

An Olive Garden employee died from burn injuries he suffered after thrusting his head into a deep fryer in what police have categorized as a suicide attempt.

Sounds like it was successful and not an attempt.

In almost any standard commercial fryer you could definitely fit your head and your forearms in, just probably not at the same time. The fryers the OG use are typically on the small end. However the boiler for the pasta is massive and could double as a kiddie pool.

Now, Olive Garden will have all kinds of meetings with employees about why you shouldn’t put your head in the deep fryer!

How does this work if you are seated and waiting for your food? Surely, you heard the screams. I’m sure there’s a level of trauma associated with being near the incident, even if you didn’t see it.

So sad….not related at all but kinda reminds me of the woman that died in the Wallmart oven

That one was a legit accident I believe, the door locked and the machine turned on, and she couldn't get out.

Doesn't sound like an attempted suicide.
