It's because nobody can figure out what is and is not an "American" anymore.

Strange since they had 23 "confirmed" Americans according to the news. I'm sure there were Americans on board, wonder why they are holding back.
yea but we know how the news jumps to shite
I agree there had to be a few Americans on there but strange its not being officially reported.
The most absurd part of this is the rebels said that Ukraine's military shot this down.

Video of Russian BUK being hauled away
This video was reportedly shot near the area where the missile is believed to have been launched. It is apparently being taken to the direction of the Russian border. Definitely looks like a missile is missing.

According to NPR, there has been no confirmation of any Americans on board.
They have been the most deliberate and least sensational reporting, as is expected.

Not proof. Maybe there wasn't a full load? Maybe it was innocent and being moved in order to remove suspicion...

Never said it was. Just providing updates that seem suspicious.

Sure does look like one in the middle is missing

That transcript sounds about as real as Saban's "speech" after the bluegrass miracle before the Alabama game. "Jordy get the frick out of here..."
Wait, what's this all about?

Why would this pilot take this route in a restricted airspace. The normal route is further south of Donetsk
Posted on 7/18/14 at 8:11 am to Bluefin
And here is another thought. The plane was over 17 years old and had well over 75K flight hours. Now, whats to say that there was some catostrophic failure, in say a wing spar or something, that led to breakup in flight? (And don't even say that kind of stuff doesnt happen..)
I seem to remember that a few years ago an airplane in the U.S. went down and people swore up and down that they saw missile contrails... Not saying, but just saying...

Just read that an Australian woman lost her brother and sister in law in the flight 370, then lost her step daughter in this flight. Poor lady

This...
Or maybe there was a bomb onboard...
And let's not forget that the news sensationalizes crap. And that they hace been fed stuff before to sway opinion. Just sayin...

what are the odds

I believe a thunderstorm moved them north of intended route. Still shouldn't have gone over this area

Most aircraft in service are older than that, and have more flight hours.

That may or may not not be, but can you 100% rule out that may happen?
So, lets take a look at things for a minute. I have yet to see any proof that a missile was fired - it may have been, and if there is proof, then my bad. Everybody seems so quick to jump on what the news says as the absolute truth...
But, on the other hand, if it was an actual shootdown, who is to say that it was more than an "accident" (ahem) or not? And if it was more than that, then what purpose is it serving other than to garner support against Russia? Just sayin...
