In a nutshell, the conversation is discussing the shooting down of an aircraft in the general vicinity of where the Malaysian plane went down, then basically a lot of "oh shite! oh frick!" They also mention someone finding a Malaysian student ID near the wreckage.

How did you gather that? If thats the case, then could it be a set-up to blame the Russians? Read somewhere were U.S. lawmakers saying there will be hell to pay if Russia was behind it. Definitely possible.
