Maybe she was murdered somewhere else, like in the salvage yard itself. Then that clown drug here to the burn barrel. He left the car on premises because as I stated earlier, most criminals are dumbasses and no Dexters.

He has a low IQ. I have not read or heard that he has a mental illness.

But the murder was more of a "dexter" murder. Yet, you hinted at the police placing evidence at the scene to get a guilty verdict. At least try stick to one belief.

Yea, the fault lies on the uneducated family, they had no idea and of the legality of this whole ordeal.

You realize if it's certain that the cops planted any evidence and if Brendan's 10 different statements are thrown out that the whole scope of the case is changed and you wouldn't be singing the same tune you are now? You would have watched an entirely different case "5 years ago".
I agree, he would have been found not guilty. But, as I stated before, I think he did it. Once he's free, he would do it again. I know it's damned if you do, damned if you don't situation. That's due to the LEOs doing shady shite with evidence. Which looks like they did.

my imagination ran a bit wild. maybe the police found her dead somewhere else and decide to frame avery. being on the property before getting the warrant is a lot more likely though.

So even if they threw out the kid's statements and whatever potentially planted evidence, you would still think Steven is guilty?

It's not out of the realm of the possibility.

Gregory Allen, the one who actually committed the assault in 1985 was watched like a hawk 24/7 by the sheriff's dept (except the day he committed the crime). Who is to say that Steven Avery wasn't being watched like a hawk in 2003 and whoever was watching him planned this whole ordeal meticulously. If the defense was able to accuse alternative personnel, I think Avery could've been found not guilty. With all of the evidence out there I seriously don't know how any sane person can come to the conclusion that he is guilty or innocent. Furthermore Steve is too dumb to do everything the prosecutors said he did.

Close to one, but not as pre-planned as Dexter. Like I said, I think she was murdered somewhere else, lack of blood shows this, and this clown drug her to the burn pit on his property instead of disposing of the body miles away.
Any LEO will tell you the average criminal is a dumbass when it comes to covering their tracks and talking to police.

Guilty in a court of law, absolutely not, do I think he murdered her, yes.

Holy shite dude, nothing about this was average. Steven was a dumbass before, during, and after this mess so to point out what "any LEO will tell you" doesn't mean shite because he covered his tracks pretty well for police to have to plant evidence to force a guilty verdict. A person of Steven's intelligence level could not concoct such a controversial case and I'm not say he's innocent. You are grasping at straws saying he drug her to the burn pit.

I still can't get over how the cop called in the plate #, like he was sitting behind it, 2 days before the car was "found" and had no explanation while on the stand.
This is still bothering me as well. Also the two calls Avery's girlfriend made to him from jail the night of the murder. He sounded calm cool and collected on the recordings and this was during the time that he was supposed to be murdering and raping and chopping up a body. I haven't finished the season yet but those two things along with the planted evidence have me scratching my head.
What I have learned so far:
1. Don't be poor
2. Don't be stupid (low IQ)
3. Always have a lawyer present when being questioned by the police

2 would fix 1 and 3 in this case.

Side bar: did anyone else belly laugh out loud when Brendan was talking about "guessing" during his interrogation and said "I do that on my homework, too" and then called himself stupid? I laughed at the first one kinda too hard then I felt bad for him after he said he was stupid.

As for the evidence, if it's all thrown out. Of course he wouldn't be convicted. Now, if they had the FBI take over the investigation and they ran DNA tests, etc. Yes, I would think he would be guilty in court.
JMO.
How do you feel about the whole situation? Just curious.

I hadn't thought of it that way. Now I have a hard time believing Avery wasn't being watched closely considering the lawsuit. I'm sure they were going to try and pin anything they could on him to try and get out of that huge settlement.

I felt bad during that whole dialogue. Predators take advantage of those types of kids everyday.

most likely because you cant search without a warrant. if he admitted to being on the property without permission hes in big shite
Must admit I didn't think of this either. That's probably how the 2 women that searched the yard knew exactly where to go out of all those hundreds of vehicles. I knew it was bullshite when she said she got lucky.
Either way, there was a shite ton of perjury in that trial.

You didn't answer my question. My stance is that, with everything that is out in the public right now there is no reason any sane person should find either Steven or Brendan guilty. Why? Because we do not know what happened that night or how Theresa's bones ended up in the burn pit. Everything else is just speculation.
