I make my own coffee, or get it at McD's or somewhere for $1 a cup. Starbucks coffee tastes burnt to me for $5/cup.

"Expresso" can be the roasting level of the beans, the grind of the beans and/or the process of extracting the flavor from the beans that have been ground. That is why it is an art and not a science.

Expresso at home

Espresso is both a coffee beverage and a brewing method. It is not a specific bean, bean blend, or roast level.

This may be debatable, but it certainly is sold as a roast level.

I drink a cup at home and 2 or so when I get to the office. No caffeine after lunch or I can't sleep.

Make one cup at home and drink one cup at work. Occasionally, we need an afternoon pick me up because the day has been a shite show of epic proportions. This is when the field trip to Starbucks occurs to get out of the office.

this is what i use to make strong coffee
they advertise it as espresso but uses only 1-2 bars of pressure so really not
but still good coffee and about 2-3 times as strong as regular coffee where espresso is 7-8 times

but once you use this to make coffee and drink it like regular coffee you will not go back
i use to use press
i have a kuerig for fast stuff and actually usr my tassimo for espresso since it reads the bar code on the pod for temperature pressure and water amount

Make 12 cups each morning maybe throw out 3-4. So much cheaper and convenient. Coffee pot goes off at 5:30 each morning.

+1

On weekends I like a pourover or french press.

ETA

I still get a cold brew from a shop once or twice a week. I like cold coffee but making your own cold brew eats a lot of beans.

Terrible.

So over roasted there's no flavor left in the coffee. Just tastes like burnt coffee.

Cafe special is decent.

Mine's about 7 years old.

I work at home so I don't have to go anywhere to buy it every morning.
