I visited regularly as a boy and partied in the quarter while at LSU. Is it different?

Most of the people I knew who went to LSU and were Louisiana natives did not like the quarter. They thought it was too touristy.

Does this help drop the crime rates or improve the education of the state?

Where does it say you have to register? All this law does is require sites to verify your age so that children can’t look at porn.

If you think a visitor to this site won’t have their ID recorded and later used against them somehow, you’re crazy. On today’s internet, there is no “verification” without recording of identifying data. Just wait until TD is eventually cracked and our post and like histories are splayed out for those eager to damage reputations. It’s only a matter of time.

My 16 year old son has a VPN so he can play warzone or whatever game in whatever region he wants.

If they think they're protecting kids with this, then they don't know how tech savvy these little bastards already are.

They can always just block the sites that don't comply

Who is gonna block a site? The state literally cannot block you from reaching a site, unless they get ISPs to be complicit in the overreach (like fining ISPs that don't comply).

Even then, a VPN fixes that.

ACLU and other organizations that back in the 1960 and 1970’s that legitimized smut should stand up and sue the state for breach of privacy and violation of civil rights and freedom of speech.

What happens if someone watches a video that a site okayed to be shown, but later is determined to child porn because of various reasons actress lied about her age, etc., can the state look back at those who accessed that video and now charge them with child porn? It is a slippery slope.

VPN usage in Louisiana about to skyrocket

I’d bet the majority won’t even notice the difference or be impacted. Especially those with iPhones who have Private Relay enabled with it being set to Country/Timezone instead of General Location.

This is truly unreal.

What happens when someone is not from Louisiana, but visiting. Looks like they can't access unless they go VPN. The only verification option is a code from LA Wallet.

The last place anyone should want to attach their ID to are porn sites. Are we slowly becoming China? Unreal. I hate the politics in Louisiana.

How do they plan on doing this? Louisiana can’t even balance a budget how are they going to control me looking at titties?

Limiting children's unrestricted access to hardcore pornography is now the "radical" position to have. We are in clown world. Lmao

The left is obsessed with degeneracy and exposing children to it outside parental guidance/consent.

This shite is why I say frick religion and frick Republicans. There was some religious nut politician in I think Mississippi trying to make masturbation illegal. Mike Pence was one of these crazy religious frickers trying to make illegal anything to do with sex.

It’s why abortion will never be agreed upon. For religious crazy people, it’s really all about sex, not “dead babies”.

I am so blown away by this.

Of course there are ways around this, but it shouldn't have to come to this. This is quite scary that they can just up and do something like this. It sort of reminds me of some crap China would pull.

Yep. Child trannyism is the most ridiculous thing Democrats have ever championed.

I agree parents should be responsible and not the State though for what their children watch in the home..
