That may have been a not great move, but you can't tell that based on that number alone. You'd need to dig in and see where the cuts came. Hell, cuts could have come in the form of trimming down redundant/unnecessary support staff. Or it could have come in the form of critical fire hydrant maintenance. Who knows? Do you know?

What do you want the citizens of California to do? Send you hand written notes and a fruit basket?

I know this, in a state that is notorious for wildfires, I dont cut my fire department.

Just letting you know that no one on the West and certainly not the North East cared at all when things were bad here. Not even a shred.

They look at us as stupid white trash still to this day.

Cute saying.

Ive more than likely lived in more states than you and have lived overseas.

Ive seen a lot, probably more than 99% of people will ever get to see.

My comment stands. I wont let a fire erase the negativity that has come out of that state going on 80 years now.

I'm no fan of California either, and there are certainly people there who DGAF about disasters in red states, but this is dumb.

Look at the leaders of these cities, just look at them

Tell me with a straight face any of these mayors, chiefs etc. should be in charge of an area of land with millions of people much less in charge of watering a plant day to day.

They put themselves in this position at everyone elses disdain. Everyone could see how they were electing, and we all knew it wasnt going to be good. Now we want to sit here and feel bad when they arent prepared?

No thanks. Until they start acting like they want to civil human beings I say let them elect who they want and let them perish.

We should just make Ron DeSantis the at-large governor of every US state

He just goes to wherever the trouble is and leads

I agree, it is a dumb statement and I fully expect everyone to pile on against me but I am willing to die on this hill.

If you think they did, you don't know those people at all.

Something tells me all the companies in her locale have pulled out because of crime and degeneracy, drug addiction, prostitution.

Who knows man. Maybe someone from skid row will send me a used heroin needle.

Your comments today aren’t doing much to change that narrative.

A lack of empathy for Louisiana during a natural disaster is a shitty response. Your response to a natural disaster in California is equally as shitty. So congratulations, you’re exactly like the people you detest.

Where have they been?

They surely arent trying to make any changes.

They seem content let them be content. Dont like it, move. Dont want to move, get your arse in the streets and start changing minds.
