I kind of want to throw up thinking about what we’re likely to see tomorrow. I’m feeling very nervous.

you and me both - my wife is on edge because I'm talking about preparations i rarely ever discuss with her. i told her I'm not trying to worry you, she goes - if you are worried I am.

really hoping for everyone to be ok with this

I’m right there with you. The language, consistency in the forecast and high risk makes this feel pretty damn close to 4/27. I know we’re told not to compare anything to that day but this is the most serious event I remember since.

I keep telling my girlfriend and my friends that I’m not trying to scare them, but I want to impress the seriousness of the situation on them.

The thing that I try to remember is that the chances of a tornado, even a big one, striking your house is low. If you have a safe place, and you do the things you’re supposed to do, you’ll be fine in most cases.

First time I’ve ever seen an official warning from my weather app invoking April 27, 2011 in the message. Looks like the same exact area in the rare high risk zone too.

agreed - im telling my mom to make sure she is set where she is out off 280 - her apartment is about 3/4 miles from the tack that went through Eagle Point.

i think where I am in Bessemer is ok - but with days like tomorrow - who the frick knows

If Spann revisits his "this is not April 27" note from earlier this week hopefully people will definitely notice that

After all I've seen and I'm by no means a weather expert, but I think it's safe to start drawing that comparison and hope/pray for the best outcome that it doesn't materialize. This one appears to be the real deal

When was the last time Alabama had a "high" category?

A neat function on X is typing in the search bar "from: @NWSSPC high risk"

I use My Radar app. But still it’s either really serious or they are unprofessional as hell using language like they have.

He said that this morning on his daily weather briefing. However, he still hasn’t posted his afternoon weather briefing.

I live in the middle of BFE, thus there are a bunch of mobile homes scattered around the area.
I don't know if these people have known places to go in the event of a tornado.
An EF4 is an entirely different animal than a EF0 or 1. Life and death different

Has TWC gone up to 10 on its TORCON yet?

4/27/11 was the 1st time they put a 10 on that if memory serves

He's been saying this, however rightfully so, since April 28, 2011.
There will be one time he will be inaccurate. Will it be tomorrow? We'll see.
Hopefully this thing will find away to bust
