Ryan Hall just said a tornado trying to form near Loranger & Franklinton
WVUE Fox 8 in N.O. has been talking about it for the last 20 minutes. If you're local they seem quicker.

Baton Rouge skates through today like a hairless cat through a Benny’s car wash. Time to head out to the Box.

I will ALWAYS advocate that when the shite is on your doorstep you should not rely on any of the streamers. The broadcast mets know your area, they're invested in it, and they have real accountability.

For as good as Hall and others are, by the nature of their efforts they are spread thin. The locals will cover your area.

Bassfield might get relatively lucky here. Couplet has backed off as inflow was disturbed. Still time to get on the ground before the city though.

Is there a radar or something that can tell me if/when hail is coming? That's what I'm mostly worried about today.

Local guys don’t need polygons to tell them to pay attention to something.

A lot of tornadoes are on the ground before they ever get a warning on them.

It has a secondary rotation, but doesn't appear to be down. You can see debris being cycled out of the rotation producing the tornado.

RadarScope. It’s been mentioned many time ITT and it is a MUST have.

It isn't an easy skill to master quickly.

RH issues “yall warnings” for unwarned rotations. His stream meteorologist guy often issues these before the official polygon.

I agree with this. I watch Ryan Hall until the storms cross the MS/AL line then I watch James Spann

The lightning in the NW Alabama mess of storms is unreal right now.
