Found the tornado path from the hollandale one earlier.
Hoke road where my catfish farm is located. It missed my farm by about 1/4 mile
Pin is where the poles are broken.
My farm is the trapezoid shaped block to the southeast

Is it over for my area? Sun is out and heating back up. I see some convection back in East Louisiana

Heads up in Independence area and anything NE of French Settlement. Supercell headed that way is getting its act together.

Tylertown with yet another gun pointed at them. Those poor people were probably just breathing a sigh of relief

Now that we’re rolling into these storms in Mississippi and eventually Alabama, do we have any clarification on when Birmingham will be in the thick of it? I’m seeing different times.
ABC 33/40 app says 4pm to 1am on the forecast. Their radar shows 5pm to 9pm.
Accuweather says 5pm to 8pm.
Just curious for when to expect it.

For the most part. The trailing cells west of the main front don't seem to be spinning up any tornadoes, I'm sure one of the Mets here can explain the reason for that

So much for hoping today was gonna be a bust.
I hate each and every tornado.
May God bless each one caught in the paths.

Stuff the radar is picking up in the sky that shouldn’t be in the sky.

Debris signature so strong the “old school radar”, as Bigbee is calling it, is picking it up…

I would say the window for Birmingham opens around 2:00 or 2:30. It might be a bit after that but I would be ready by that time to hunker down at a moment’s notice. I would say everything should be over for the Birmingham area by 9:00 or 10:00 PM.

We’re at 40 miles of tornado on the ground on the Kentwood storm now.

quote:the first round are up all (most of) the available energy. Theres nothing much left for them to “feed” off of. Think when a hurricane comes through and cools the gulf and smaller one comes behind it a week or so later but can’t really get firing fully. Theres clearly something there to get the rain storm to form but not enough to turn it severe.
