1111 PM CDT Fri Mar 14 2025

The National Weather Service in Jackson has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
Southeastern Sunflower County in northwestern Mississippi...
Northwestern Holmes County in central Mississippi...
West central Carroll County in north central Mississippi...
Leflore County in north central Mississippi...
Northern Humphreys County in central Mississippi...

* Until 1215 AM CDT.

* At 1110 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a
tornado was located over Isola, or near Belzoni, moving northeast
at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado and ping pong ball size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.

* This dangerous storm will be near...
Belzoni, Isola, Swiftown, and Inverness around 1115 PM CDT.
Morgan City and Moorhead around 1125 PM CDT.
Quito around 1130 PM CDT.
Itta Bena around 1135 PM CDT.
Greenwood around 1140 PM CDT.
Schlater around 1155 PM CDT.

I'm trying not to be dramatic but I can't remember the last time this many producing supercells were approaching the MS river out of Arkansas.....

Nasty look from the HRRR. This would be at 3:00 PM CDT tomorrow. It doesn’t mean that this is exactly where the storms will be placed, but you can see how many discrete supercells there are. Any of those will have the possibility of producing a tornado.
