I chucked a bunch of peanuts out in the back - they are already gone - but i think a lot of them got snagged by the blue jays.

Took this while walking this morning. Snow is moving back in here, expected 3-6 inches tonight and into tomorrow.

Looks like round two is coming around MLK Day and beyond. Cold and possible winter precip for deep south.

Not this crap again.
In 24 hours, the models will flip and we will be seeing 70 degrees and short weather on MLK Day in SELA.

One of my favorite backyard residents about an hour ago. He appeciates the sunflower seeds I threw out.

Ohh yea, melt is on here
Be interesting to see how much drying happens before it gets back below freezing, my guess is not much

Drove 459 to work today. Had to leave an older gentleman stranded, but he was so far off the interstate that my tow strap wasn't gonna reach him without us both getting stuck. This dude is 70+ if he's a day and obviously not dressed or prepared for the situation in any way.
I asked him WTF he was doing out here. He said he was going to his girlfriend's house because her heater was out.

Buddy of mine had a cool video of I 20 at Brompton exit. There's a huge hill going East towards ATL. Traffic was stopped there and they were plowing the hill and salting it.

It might be snowing hard here, again, but it's Friday night and that is pizza night.

I'm out of bird seed and all the local stores are out. I bought a big bag of David sunflower seeds and a jar of shelled seeds. The birds went nuts over it. Good window entertainment.
All year long turkey are super elusive but with the snow they are wondering around like idiots. Chunked some cat food out and they seemed to like it.

According to the Tik Toks something is brewing for the near future. Unfortunately we’ll never know bc it’s after the date the feds say we can’t play with the chicoms. Guess I’ll have to pull out the almanac or the readers digest.

I live on a golf course in Oklahoma where there are a lot of cedar trees. We usually lose a few limbs or even entire trees when there is a wind event. This past weekend I saw one tree snapped completely over about 8 feet off the ground. The maintenance crew has already removed it.
They maintain a few burn piles in open areas. Whenever conditions are right, they will have a controlled burn. One of those burn piles is behind my house about 300 yards away.
On Thursday, conditions were ideal. Friday morning, I took the dog out for a walk around 7:10 am. The pile was still smoldering. I looked like a large campfire in the snow.
