Whats nice is on bad weather days schools are out and many businesses close plus you have those who won't drive in bad weather. And I find driving is much better during bad weather. Now, if its a bad winter and had too many bad weather days a lot of peeps end ip driving as their PTO runs low so those can be bad. But the first few winter storms aren’t too bad, at least here in OKC. Always idiots out but less of them

Top I model is Euro and the bottom is GFS.

We will see how close either model is I suppose.

Update: that sucked. Trying to use a snow blower with an inch thick ice on top of the snow doesn't work. I had to break up the ice, haul it off, then run the blower. I will ha e more to do tomorrow, but I'm worn out now.

That map has people already preemptively closing businesses Thursday here on the Oklahoma side of the Red River.

I don't care. I might find my arse out fishing on Lake Texoma on Thursday.

I lived in Milwaukee, WI for 1 winter and had to clean the driveway every time it snowed - and I didn't have a blower, just the shovel. I didn't mind it until i bruised my ribs and then had to clean the driveway off - especially after the plows covered the end of the driveway.

do not miss that at all

I remember last time we got snow here in DFW, the lake effect snow gave my area slightly larger amounts. I cant wait to walk the lakes with all the snow on the ground

My driveway is 80' long 12,' wide and i have a pad between the house and detached garage that is 40,x60. I did a lot of shoveling today anyway. More tomorrow.

Our road is maintained by the county, which is nice, but now I have a 12' long 2' thick block of ice to break up

So I guess we won’t be seeing any snow around Baton Rouge? A few days ago it looked like we might see a little but the temps look higher now Thursday night.

That's a hell of a lot of work just to have a clear driveway for a few days. Worst case senerio if I absolutely had too, I'd just shovel enough to pull my ride into the very start of the driveway and walk the rest.

Largest snow we have had here at my place in arkansas was 18 inches. Stayed on the ground about a week and never once thought to myself...ohh...I should go shovel all that lol

I worked on it for 3 hours. Worst case scenario i think for trying to use a snow blower. The ice was over an inch thick in some areas and the blower would just skate on top or get stuck. I had to break it up and move it, just to run it. I have more to do tomorrow.

The ice blew toward the garage doors, so I had to get them cleaned off to open them. I'll get enough done tomorrow to allow my wife to get out.

Snow removal is a young man's game

Many epithets are thrown at the snowplow man. Most not nice.
