Wow. That is awful.

I travel too much to be seeing stuff like this. And it's sooo difficult to avoid Boeing airplanes.

Is it normal to have a wall like that the end of the runway? Seems like you would not want that there for this very reason?

Just because those 22 were still breathing doesn’t mean they make it.

I'm not sure, but, I'm assuming there's a point that a barrier at the end of a runway is prudent in a populated area.

Hard to tell if that was the case from the video, but if it was a complete hydraulics failure then they were flaps zero.

Those 2, not 22, then.

“Survivor” just means you are breathing on the ground. Doesn’t mean you last much longer than that.

It seems there could be multiple nets that could pop up along the length of the runway to slow this plane down.

Have seen fire retardent foam sprayed on a runway to create drag and prevent sparking.

And by "seen" I was seeing it through the plane window while landing in it.

Actually hearing of atleast 2 survivors. Hopefully that number rises
So to be clear: you are hoping for folks to come back from the dead?

Or resurrection?

South Korean first responders are pretty good at ascertaining whether plane crash victims are dead or alive.
