FWIW, I read the NPR comment section about this song. There were a bunch of people who see this for what it is but plenty of delusional people don't. One comment that stood out and is horrifying is that this white privilege stuff isn't about anything coherent. It's about getting white people to say that they are inherently advantaged over other people and is some sort of natural recurring marma shite.
