Is it like a phobia-level fear, or are you unsure of yourself?

It took me a little while to get good at grilling, but now I use it alllll the time!

propane grills are very safe, propane is also very stable fwiw. you can get grills at lowe's for cheap. they make ones with push button ignition now so you dont have to stick a lighter in.

cork starts her own fire.....

Well my biggest phobia is being burned alive

But I don’t have that fear with grilling. I’ve cooked hot dogs on one before but someone else started the charcoal

It’s more of a don’t know what I’m doing kind of thing

I have the regular propane version of that grill and it's awesome. I would bet the infrared is even better. Infrared super hot but doesn't flame up. Cooks more evenly. I still consider it a "fire"grill, though. I would buy it in a heartbeat if you want to grill steaks, burgers, chicken breasts, etc. Not for slow bbqing, though.

If you're not dead set on the infrared, I'd highly suggest getting a gas grill from Lowe's or HD to start! They're quick on quick off, and sooo easy.

I love grabbing a beer or glass of wine and enjoying the yard while making a healthy dinner!

Check that infrared you're looking at. It might require propane.

I would love to make my own pulled pork but I’ll probably leave that to the men

I just want to be able to grill steaks and chicken breasts real quick when I get home from work and still have time to do homework

Then I would highly recommend a small propane grill, especially if it has an infrared burner. Make sure it's a self starter, just turn the dial and press a button, and it starts. Infrared burners cook amazing steaks. Sears the outside and seals all the juices, crunch outside, tender juicy inside.

Just sat down at one of my favorite Thai restaurants. Not sure what they will bring me today. I never order, they just bring me whatever they want me to eat.

Oh and green tea.

Paige, my SO did 11 lbs on Sunday on a smoker, which didn't seem as scary as a grill. Maybe an electric smoker wld be good.
