People often associate federal prison with club feds, but the worst of federal prisons actually are worse than the worst state facilities. Like ADX Florence is orders of magnitudes worse than the worst state prisons like Angola, Sing Sing or Attica.
Now, Mangione is really just a run of the mill murderer who on paper hardly did enough that he should go to ADX Florence, but he's almost being treated him like he's ADX Florence material. Like you'd think he's Osama Bin Laden with how many guards he's always surrounded by.

That's largely if you're at a camp or a low level fed prison. Even then, you're still in a prison and can still get caught up in trouble. Medium and above security often have a "no hands" policy in the feds. That is if you have a beef with someone that you want to address, you either have to stab them, or you just let it go.
