agree with you. What I'm saying to all of these folks who are sending their kids elsewhere because of this news, look how many colleges and universities are ALREADY requiring the vaccine pre-approval. Once it gets fully approved it'll be added to the vast majority of college/uni immunization requirements.
Spite can still be a bitch.

Its a request for exemption, that is how it works. Says it directly on the paperwork here
Semantics as all requests are automatically accepted.

I understand that if I claim exemption for any of the reasons stated above, I may be excluded from campus and from classes in the
event of an outbreak of measles, mumps, rubella, or meningitis until the outbreak is over or until I submit proof of immunization.

There is currently, and will be forever I imagine, covid cases on campus. So sure, you can fill out this exemption form and be accepted, and under the same guidelines they have always had you will never be allowed on campus
My son was on campus, in a frat house, with the exemption, during the 2017 mumps outbreak. Class attendance and on campus activities never skipped a beat. That clause, as well as the records themselves, are a CYA that the university honestly doesn't give a flip about. You are giving LSU far too much credit if you think they can enforce it, or if they even really want to. It's virtue signaling to the faculty and to make the governor happy for next year's budget talks.

The covid "Vaccine" has not been approved
Right and I understand why someone would want to wait for approval, but once it’s approved what’s the problem?

No, that isnt how it works exactly
You have to get an approved exemption, which will be the same here
Cool.
You act like there is an approval process.
You check a box on a form for your reason. One of the reasons listed is OTHER.
You then sign a waiver waiving your right to a refund and understanding that you may need to stay off campus if there is a TB outbreak.
I did it for nine years

And the same exemption is going to be included with the covid-19 vaccine so I am not sure why people are upset

Well since you ask, just like cars, car insurance and other costs of kids. If I tote the note I make the rules.
They can go get loans. Of course you can decide what institution you pay for, but that’s not what the other guy said.

My DNA does not require help.
I'm sorry yours does.

You specifically replied to my post saying I didn't give a shite as long as the exemption existed to opt out

Enrollment will plummet
I'm not for mandating the vaccine...but if it causes enrollment to plummet and increases the value of an LSU education...that's not all bad.

I'm guessing at least at the outset it won't be that easy.

Louisiana has 5x the rate of covid in past 14 days as MA right now, and 64% are vaccinated in MA compared to 38% of LA. Sometimes, I really do wonder how stupid people in this state can be. Like this is blatantly obvious that getting vaccinated lowers population covid rate. Yea, there is a 99% survival rate (dependent on sources), but wouldn't it be nice if people got vaccinated, so we wouldn't have to deal with the bullshite like masks, space between seatings, cancelled events, teams having to forfeit, can't go out to bars... all it takes is for people to get a simple shot.
