Good lord. The mass hysteria is rivaling Ebola.

Skate boards are banned right? I would think a hover board would fall under the skate board category
Not doubting you, but why in the world would skateboards be banned?

So any off-campus student could bring them and ride around like a lazy jackass to and from class no problem.
The athletes have to get around campus and still conserve energy between practices somehow

Yeah, I think you may be right.
In all University-managed residence halls, apartments, and greek houses.
Not prohibited to ride them outside, just cannot bring them inside for storing and charging due to the fire hazard.
Again, this is a Fire Hazard issue, not a you could fall and get a booboo issue.

Did it appear that I was having trouble comprehending what was written?
Thanks for attempting to explain the policy to me.
I think you mean...
Not prohibited to ride them outside, just cannot bring them inside for any reason.

How can a person have 1065 messages in the inbox? Most people get red-assed at like, 20.

This. They are no more dangerous than laptops or cell phones.

No, they give the justification for the policy in the 2nd paragraph.
The reason is the potential fire hazard.

Are you intentionally obtuse?
As the policy appears, under what circumstances (for what reason) would someone be allowed to use, possess or store one of the devices in a university-managed residence hall, apartment, or Greek house?

I can find plenty of videos of phones, laptops, and RC Car and Airplane batteries doing the same thing.

Sure you can but it's the rate at which the hover boards seem to do it. The odds of it happening for the hoverboards appear to be much higher than the things you mentioned.

Don't a lot of the football players use them to get around campus?
Posted on 12/31/15 at 9:06 pm to SG_Geaux
They've also all been on the market for over a decade so there is bound to be some instances, but these "hoverboards" haven't been out that long and still have many incidents. I would bet the rate of burning up on them is much higher.

Inside? None, because they do not permit them inside because of the risk of them catching on fire.
LSU could care less if you bust your arse...what they do care about is the hoverboard causing a fire in one of their buildings.

They're covered under the Americans With Disabilities Act now so all a kid has to do is say he's disabled, and then it's illegal for a campus official to ask for proof
