Wow. Way to fight the power.

It’s the ridiculousness of people not being able to laugh at themselves, over shite they are guilty of themselves.
Reminds me of a party I went to years ago. Jewish friend of mine. Well we had all sorts of food. I had carved a watermelon, Party was great, went to the wee hours of the morning. I was one of the few left, and was helping put up the food. All that was left was some fried chicken and the rest of the watermelon.
Well he had a couple friends that got off of a late shift and stopped by. One was a black guy. So this black guy walks in and asks what there is to eat. I nonchalantly turn around and tell him we have fried chicken and watermelon. Not even thinking about the implications because I was just giving the facts.
Well his eyes went a little crazy and his nostrils flared a bit and my Jewish friend realized what was going on. So he opened the Fridge and said, “no man, that’s literally all we have left. Fried chicken and watermelon.”
We all burst out laughing at that point. Tension broken.
People need to stop taking shite so serious and blowing things out of proportion.

I understand your point. Hell, I even understand black folks getting upset at racism. My issue is that elitist whites in the Democrat party are fueling this outrage for political gain. Stoking the fires, organizing the masses and separating people based on identity.

but how can the social justice warrior capitalize on it then?

I may be wrong but i dont recall asians or germans having to deal with things like this.
Then you don’t know or understand history. It’s rather long and winding.
History is an endless slog of brutality, rape, murder, slavery. You either comquer or are conquered.

What? African-American isn’t a race, to start. And sub-Saharan Africa was largely segregated from the rest of the world population, much like the orient, and the americas, for much of history. So there was no one there but Them to do the oppressing and enslaving anyway.
You need to do an objective study of history to be able to see it through an unclouded lens.

Was this a stupid thing to post... yes. Should it ruin someone's life... absolutely NOT. When things like this come up, It is important to remember, we have this thing called the 1st amendment (feelings about the picture are irrelevant). I have yet to find the clause in the 1st amendment which states you have freedom of speech as long as it fits the specific ideologies of a specific group, otherwise the speech/ideas are banned.
I don't see how LSU, being a public institution, has any grounds here. She is an idiot, but I fail to see how the university can apply punishment without facing a discrimination lawsuit.

These "clever" little jokes are the stupidest thing on social media. She deserves what she gets I'm not defending that level of stupidity.

Agree, and what I was looking to point out. The outrage over this is absurd.

Im just playing devil's advocate here, but what are the chances that she was just screwing around and grabbed the closest (if not the only) stuffed animal she had?
I mean, she's in college, how many stuffed animals do you think this girl actually owns to go through them and say "I will lynch the monkey so as to offend black people"

I'm so confused on why LSU feels obligated to comment on this. This has nothing to do with the school. Colleges should be a simple exchange. I pay college to teach me subjects I want to learn. At what point did they morph into some surrogate parent role?

Call George Bush a Monkey... No one Cares
Call Patrick Ewing a Gorilla... Racist

Given there was no initial context provided at all, are the racists in this argument the ones who assumed the monkey was to represent a black person?

8 pages and I would have thought the photographer herself would be in this thread. Tommy cheeseballs style.

I’d rather the girl in the picture show up. She looks like her strawberry would taste sweet like the forbidden fruit of Eden.
