It was 9 meals a week. By your junior year, you get pretty damn sick of the meals and it’s amazing that I didn’t get fatter than i did. I got really fat too

That seems right, anyway it’s expensive but really isn’t a bad deal if the kid will eat most of their meals at the house.

Those dues go to pay the electric bill and the house director primarily and to put on the 2-3 events they do off campus each semester. Also the houses tend to be pretty nice inside as opposed to the glorified slums that are Fraternity Houses.


Also the food is a lot better in the Sorority Houses than the on campus cafeteria and also as a cost per diem cheaper than living off campus

I credit my lifelong robust health to living in Fraternity squalor. My immune system shrugs off everything now.

Also, sorority dues are way less than fraternity dues because fraternities have way more social events.

Sorority dues only (not room or board) are around $800 per semester.

Fraternity dues can be several thousand. However, all of these dues have a return value in the form of social events (and room/board if we are including that portion)

according to the '16/'17 guide the highest dues, not associated with room or board, was Kappa Kappa Gamma at $500 per semester

GDI's spend upwards to that much on their extra curricular but don't get a formal to celebrate that fact....there you go.
