Condemns Rouse's but doesn't care about the mafia connection.... interesting.

I went to DC in 5th grade for a trip.

Am I going to be cancelled too?

I’m guessing they will have the Dudley and the Debosier-the official injury lawyers of LSU Athletics send a termination letter.

"We are aware of the news reports concerning Rouse’s connection to the violent, unlawful attacks at the U.S. Capitol and find them deeply troubling.

who alleged that Rouse's has a "connection"?

Then they should applaud him for him taking part in what was (at the time he was there) a peaceful protest and condemn the BLM riots that burned cities all summer.

Instead, LSU chose the opposite.

Their website? Rouse's About Us Diamond Jim Moran or Bobby Brocato Jr. was his real name. Cool Nola OC figure.

I honestly can't wait for the next phone call from 225-578-xxxx. Some poor soul will have to deal with my opinions next time they call. Not much, but every little bit helps to get the message across that normal people are over this behavior and will speak with our checkbooks.

So by this logic, anyone that attended a BLM protest that turned violent is just as guilty, even if they didn’t participate or left before it got violent?

This is beyond ridiculous

Because supporting a man who has continuously lied, back radical grounds, and who incites marching on our capital to stage a coup is normal, okay, and patriotic which in turn is okay because that person didn't do anything in particularly wrong.

In some comparison, I wonder how those in Germany felt about Nazis during and after the war. Was it like "It's okay because you yourself didn't do anything wrong, just stood beside something that wasn't okay".

We rolled ours over as well, I am not sure we will continue them

We won’t. We’ve already discussed it. We rolled football then basketball and got a call last week from the athletic department asking if we would again consider donating our cost for both sports to the victory fund. I told him no-we will receive our tickets in 2021 and doubt we will continue after that as we can’t get refunded. He was incredulous that I wouldn’t even consider it. So I just said I’ll let someone else pay for Bo Pelini. He told me I was being unreasonable. It was an absolutely amazing phone call. I just thought the fricking balls on these people.

Family season ticket holder in football since 1948 and basketball charter Assembly Center ticket holders so what 1970? Goodbye and good riddance.

This is where we are in 2021. Organizations feel the need to issues statements on event that have NOTHING to do with them other than a tangential relationship. The problem is once you start capitulating to the "woke" crowd the demands for you to do so NEVER end.

The founder went to a gathering in Washington in his private capacity, not on behalf of the store. And there has been no indication whatsoever that he did anything illegal. If people want to stop or never shop at Rouses, that is there prerogative. But now there is demand for LSU to stop accepting advertising money from Rouse's SOLELY because some (presumably not even LSU) have a different political opinion as the founder/owner of the business? That's LSU decision as to what they want to do. But you start to lay a precedent that will allowed for the woke crowd...who WILL NEVER BE SATISFIED...to make further demands.

And to be sure, the flames of discontent and divisiveness are stoked by the media. Which at this point is, apparently, the ONLY reason they exist. The way to kill the cancer of divisiveness is to start ignoring the media all together. The biggest enemy to our nation is not Democrats, Republicans, or even foreign countries. It is our own media that purposefully, perpetually and persistently try to tear the nation apart from within. I have more respect for prostitutes and drug dealers than "journalist". At least they honest about who they are. Journalist feign integrity and credibility while demanding lavish praise ALL while trying to divide the country.

I haven't (voluntarily) watched more than 5 minutes of a newscast in at least 4 years other than, perhaps, the weather. If WBRZ and its ilk ceased to exist tomorrow, overall, the city would become a somewhat better place.

Did LSU distance itself from that hospital they were funneling money through to recruit football and basketball players?

The Rouses owner going to a protest (a right protected by the constitution of the United States) is deeply troubling, but Derrius Guice allegedly raping half of campus...no biggie
