But if he were to make that same remark while in her classroom, she would have every right and would likely even be expected to remove him as it would interfere with his interaction and the education of others.
Ifs and buts....
That isn’t what happened

She just wants someone to wash her feet.

I didn't say it was. She was definitely in the wrong here and it's obvious she's been advised by LSU as her twitter has now been deactivated. I was merely showing that she could have responded differently with the same goal in mind and it wouldn't have gotten her in so much trouble... trouble she deserves to some extent. My point is that I don't think she deserves to be fired over this. She may in fact be a great teacher with decent intentions. I don't know and neither do you.
It's interesting the response I get for not wanting the teacher fired or the student's admission rescinded. I was called a racist a-hole on twitter today for explaining that the teacher was wrong and the kid is still allowed to get an education. Go figure.

She either knew what she was doing and intended to carry on her classes in a manner of doling out social justice as she saw fit, or she was too stupid to realize what posting something like that meant at a public university. Either way imo she can get her stuff and get the hell out.

She, like thousands of others, has gotten caught up in virtue signal arms race. You and I both don't agree with what she did. Her intentions were probably not as screwed up as you make them out to be as I honestly don't think she overanalyzed her response. Again, I don't see this as something that should result in being fired as she never had and was never going to get the opportunity to dole out this kind of "justice." If anything, she will be more scrutinized than others and rightfully so.
ETA: In the end, you have to remember that all she has really done at this point is send a tweet.

It's now a daily occurrence. "Abolish the police" gaining real traction was the last straw for me
But will you still vote Biden in November?
I didn’t vote Trump in 2016 but I will vote for him this year. Will never vote democrat again. Regardless how much I dislike republicans, democrats are real threat to freedom.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. If I threatened my clients publicly on twitter, I don’t think my company would be too thrilled regardless of my prior history.
Being in academia doesn’t give her a pass for being an idiot. How easy would it be for a future student to cry foul over favoritism?

Again, I'm not defending either's actions. I'm just not about cancel culture only when it suites my "side."

I agree Trump is probably the better option but the two party system is the real thing that’s a threat to freedom. We need to be more open to third parties. It’ll stymie some of the Red vs Blue tribalism

Academia has turned into a bunch of blabbering vaginas.

For school, he didn’t threaten anyone specifically so I don’t see on what grounds he wouldn’t be able to go where accepted.
As far as job, that will be up to the private market to decide. I can’t imagine having his video out there on the internet will do him any favors and will certainly be a hindrance.

Agreed. But you can’t fix this with rules. It can only be fixed through the application of reason
By definition you cannot reason with insanity

No, thanks. That would make us a bad as her.
And here it is in a nutshell, the reason the left keeps doing it.
Until the right, no matter how unpalatable, decides to say frick it and fight fire with fire, the right will continue to lose.
While not war in the traditional sense, it is war nonetheless

I’m not defending what he said, but he is a dumb 17 year old and she is a ?? Assistant Professor. One is truly stupid. One made a stupid decision.

She asked for names of random teenagers/young adults she doesn’t know so that she could blackball them from her class for no verifiable reason other than the Twitter mob told her to...that’s despicable.

bullshite. Her intent is to keep people who don’t agree with her politically out of her class. And she asked others to send her names.
You can’t dress up this turd as anything remotely noble.
