So leftist lean into cultural issues by pushing genital mutilation and DIE and when normal people respond, they are pushing “social issues”? That’s some mental gymnastics but not surprising. You groomers will do anything to harm children.

You caught on to that as well? LOL

Basically, "we will push to pass our legislation, and if you dare try to stop us, then we will project pushing social issues unto you to silence you".

Same thing they do when they accuse someone of something fake. You respond you are guilty, you don't respond, you are still guilty. Only accusations matter.

Yes that's how social issues as a political angle works. It's not isolated to Leftists or Conservatives.

Like how saying a cabal of powerful people aren't coordinating using trafficked children in occult/ritual abuse gets you labeled a pedo/groomer if you push back on the insanity?

Apparently a lot of you have forgotten the a few years ago Louisiana spent an entire legislative session dealing with abortion, the resulting legislation was deemed unconstitutional.

I am not saying social issues are not important, but they deflect attention from matters which affect our day to day lives in a much greater way.

I would like to see the legislators enact a 'Right to repair' law in Louisiana, I have spoken to several and I will keep at it, this is something which would benefit everyone of us, from farmers to computer techs.

Go ahead and enact a trannie law, then a year later see how many arrests and prosecutions you find under the statute, I'll bet they are very few. The point of the law isn't to bust perverts, it's to look good for the voters. They fall for it every goddam time.

As I read Counterman, the standard is would a reasonable person view the speech at issue as threatening. Applying that standard, I think there’s a question for a criminal jury or judge as to the professor’s statements.

Setting aside whether he should be charged criminally though, he certainly should be removed from his teaching duties pending an investigation and mental health evaluation.

Federal student loans should only be for STEM degrees or trade schools. That would clean up our universities some.

When I read the words last night, I interpreted it as more of a direct threat.

When I listened to the audio this morning, for some reason, it seemed like it wasn't as much a direct threat and more saying the guy would die from obesity.

It was a direct threat that he made only because he could hide snd do it anonymously. He never thought anyone could find him or he wouldn’t have left that. It should cost him his job.

I guess it's open to interpretation, but it sounds like enough of a threat to me that I believe a reasonable person could construe it as one, which is what the stated Supreme Court decision concluded was the standard. If someone who got that phone call came to me and told me they felt threatened by it, I wouldn't be able to listen to that call and tell them they are misinterpreting it. That would be a reasonable interpretation on their part.

It would not be unreasonable for this call to lead to a courtroom.

You misunderstand the decision, are completely wrong, and know it was a stupid case to mention so you're running away.

both the teacher and senator have an unhealthy BMI.

If I was running things, no one with high body fat and an unhealthy BMI would be a lot to talk about health-related issues.

Look what happens when they do, the gravity of the two has pulled in national attention to this story.

Reddit - Louisiana sub
There are a whole bunch of people on Reddit talking about it and TigerDroppings and not very fondly. All are claiming that they "use" to get on help but haven't in years, yet they seem to know about this thread. Oh, and you are all a bunch "unhinged conservatives" and "racist" according to them.
