I don't know if he will serve any time, but he will have to settle in court for damages.
I got suckered punch when I was around 16, and we were able to identity the jackass who did it.
Despite insurance, my mom was out like 30k for hospital stuff.
I think we ended up settling at 45k after depositions and what not.
You can bet that will happen.
