1982 first year Torts with famed Professor Frank Maraist. For those that don't know he speaks so fast he's known as Motor Mouth Maraist. ( he was actually a pretty cool guy when you could follow him).
First year intro class guy named Riley? gets to be one of his pets. He moves closer and closer to front till he winds up sitting front row right in front of Fast Frank all rest of semester. Riley seems pretty bright and knowledgeable. He was a funny guy and everybody liked him.
End of semester. Classes are over except for dreaded first semester. In laws school this is your only grade so first year these are make or break. Maraist generously has an extra session optional review right before finals.
It's a cold blustery day. Things are going along fine when early and suddenly out of nowhere-bang--"Riley, are you a Deke?"
Dead silence.
"No Deke has ever passed one of my classes"
Dead Serious
That day of all days, and for the first and only time, Riley chose to wear his Deke jersey to class.
Riley was never heard from again.

I'm pretty sure LSU Law grads that had motor mouth, and DKE's will appreciate.
If not--la tee daah.

Wearing a fraternity jersey in grad/law school is like wearing your HS letter jacket in undergrad IYAM.

Counterpoint: About 1/3 of all DKE's I know are attorneys.

My friends dad is the famous Deke who rides the motorcycle up the stairs in the video. He is now a very successful lawyer.

So if the same story happened this last fall , it would be anymore or less funny than it is?
It's a story bout LSU law, a still there professor, and the Dekes.
