How much of this gets explained solely by geographic location of graduates? LSU getting a bump sending people to Houston and Dallas versus staying in LA. Same with A&M.

I think it's more to do with the bulk of the degrees being granted.

LSU, A&M, UF are all pumping out Engineers from Land Grant schools.

say this is more indicative of the average income of those states/areas than it is of the universities themselves.
Louisiana does not have a better economy than Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee

LSU’s gender and diversity studies program is the best in the country after they built the 150 million dollar state of the art safe space

That explains why Clemson is at 166th and USCe is in the 600s?

Cost of living is cheaper in general in Tennessee than Louisiana. Salaries tend to be lower as well because of it. State income tax alone helps even things out.

Tennessee Tech has higher early career and the same mid-career earnings at UTK.

Again. This has to do with schools that have high-levels of Engineering programs pumping out graduates.

Yeah that isn’t surprising given they are predominantly an engineering school, they have a pretty good rep for the quality of their students entering the job force too in Tenn. Figured they would be better mid career too because of it.

I've said for a long time, and it still rings true. LA state school, especially LSU, are still a tremendous value for the money.

Major companies are reporting data back to universities. But in this case with PayScale:

LSU probably just takes the engineering and business school salaries and says that's their average.

According to the survey, mid year is defined as "10+ years experience"

Thats pretty dumb So someone who is 60 with 40 years experience is being counted

Are we looking at the same thing? I was curious as to why Vandy was over TAM with a lower number, then I checked the details and saw the real numbers were
Vandy $65,400
TAM $60,600

Are any of the other numbers accurate?

What’s considered mid career, age 45-54 or mid to late 30’s?

The school I went to ranks 1318th.

I knew I went to school with a bunch of idiots (and people who chose stupid majors)
