They're all taken up ! The first floor is some hellish shithole filled with preppy Asians and douche frat twats . I was comfortable on the 2nd floor . I loved the desks, chairs, and just the environment . When it was empty I was in bliss . Hated when people talked .

When I was in school (pre-CC's) that was the lab where the giant guy with predator dreads would spend 3 hours every night watching the nastiest porn imaginable. I'm pretty sure that was 90% of the reason they closed it in the first place.

You should get a laptop.
I frequented the first floor. Put on some headphones and the chaos around sort of helped me for some reason. Downside was nobody ever wanted to study with me.
Now post grad I've learned I have to study in the quiet, no music, in a comfortable chair with lots of space. But still be close enough to where people are to talk to someone on study breaks. To keep my sanity

No they don't. They have mac pieces of shite. Plus that one printer was down for like 3 weeks, might still be. 2nd floor is the best. There's a shite ton of room on those desks. I go there almost everyday. Don't even get me started on parking. frick LSU.

LSU has decently low tuition. But one pays so much in fees even if one has tops. They also have a football program that makes millions upon millions of dollars for the school. They also get money from the state. Taking all this into consideration, they do not do enough for their students. This is all just my opinion of course.

Had they done this 10 or even 5 years ago I would be upset. I used to always write my papers in the 2nd floor lab. However, most people have laptops now and the need for those computers isn't like it used to be.
I started back at Lsu a while back to work on another degree, and I've only been to that lab once. The only valid use I would have for it now would be to print something in a bind.

They're dropping it because no one uses it. More than half of the PCs in the computer labs aren't being used. Everyone has their own laptop, no reason to have hundreds of computers sitting idle.
Union lab is also closing (closed?) down.

I wish they'd tear the library down and open the quad back up to it's original form. Then, build a better looking library somewhere else.
Also, I just study in my apartment. I can do whatever I want here.
People just don't want to walk. Lazy bums. There are a shite ton of open spots. You just have to walk.

I've always thought they should tear down both Middleton and Lockett and build a new library on the site occupied by Lockett and the adjacent parking.

I was going to suggest that but I knew someone would bitch. Campus is too nice for those shitty building. Even though I love the Lockett basement. 3/4 of my classes have been there.

They arent being usex because half of them dont fricking work...kind of like 98% of LSU employees.
